Phill Forostenko

Principal
Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist

As the Business director and principal physiotherapist, I have owned and run Queen Street Physiotherapy for over ten years. My passion for physiotherapy rehabilitation started from playing sports at an elite level, sustaining sporting injuries and seeing how treatment and rehabilitation programs influenced my recovery and performance.

As well as sports physiotherapy, I have a strong interest in the treatment of workplace related injuries, which often present themselves in the form of back, shoulder and neck pain. My focus is to not only directly treat the injury, but to also work with the patient to develop appropriate workplace strategies and exercises to prevent the reoccurrence of these injuries.

My sporting background and educational focus on exercise and sports science gives me unique insight into effective, individualised treatment to assist individuals from a variety of sporting, workplace and musculoskeletal injuries.

Fitness is an important aspect of my life, so to keep fit I enjoy playing and competing in hockey, and dog sledding with my two Siberian Huskies, Flash and Sonic.

Rachel Elliott

Physiotherapist and Practice Manager

From a young age I have had a keen interest in sports, competing at a national level for sprinting, a state level for basketball and a regional level for netball. As an athlete myself, I understand the burden of injury at all sporting levels, novice and elite, and the drive for a prompt recovery. I enjoy evaluating running biomechanics and believe in postural and global strengthening for long term injury prevention. I have completed a graduate certificate in strength and conditioning (Uni of Woolongong) which enables me to prescribe exercise for both injury prevention, and performance enhancement for team and individual athletes.

In addition to sports, I have a strong interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and chronic pain rehabilitation. I have a bachelor in applied science and human anatomy (Uni of Canberra), a masters in physiotherapy studies (Uni of Queensland) and over 10 years experience as a clinician. I treat muscular and joint problems with a hands-on approach, having a special focus on neck, lower back and knee pain. I can also treat clients suffering from vertigo (BPPV) and am qualified to use dry needling as a treatment modality. My passion is to work with clients from all walks of life to reduce and prevent pain.

Maddie Franco

Women’s Health and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

I graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (First Class Honours) at the University of Queensland. Since then, I have worked in private practice for several years treating a variety of sporting and workplace injuries. I strive for improvement in pain and future injury prevention through a personalised approach with hands on treatment, education and individualised exercises. I have undertaken further study in western acupuncture and studio pilates which I use in my daily treatment.

I have completed two post-graduate training courses in women’s health/pelvic floor physiotherapy. Through this, I am trained to treat pelvic pain, incontinence, prolapse, urgency and fit pessary devices for the conservative management of a prolapse. I also have extensive experience in pregnancy pain management as well as postnatal pelvic floor screening, abdominal separation and return to exercise guidance.

I love staying active myself through social netball, gym, pilates and cycling. I fill my spare time with family and friends and travel as often as I can, which often consists of a weekend beach getaway to scuba dive.
